2012 Boys and Girls: Kings and Queens of Alberta
We are proud to announce that our 2012 Boys and 2012 Girls have been crowned Alberta Soccer Provincial Champions, proving themselves not just the best in Calgary, but now the best in the entire province.
2012 Boys: Kings of Alberta
The 2012 Boys secured their provincial crown in style with a 5–1 victory over B2B in the final. This provincial triumph adds to an outstanding season in the Calgary Minor Soccer League, where they lost just one game. Under the guidance of our Director of Football, Brendan O’Connell, this group has transformed into a disciplined and dangerous team.
“The boys have come such a long way” said Brendan O’Connell. “Their improvement has been remarkable, but more importantly, their character and resilience stood out in big moments. To be crowned champions of Alberta is a fitting reward for their hard work”
2012 Girls: Queens of Alberta
The 2012 Girls matched that success with a flawless run of their own, winning every game at provincials, capped by a 2–0 victory over the Edmonton Warriors in the final.
Their dominance has been clear all season. In the Calgary Minor Soccer League, they went undefeated across the season, while conceding in just two matches. Beyond league play, they have shone in tournaments in the province and beyond.
Most impressively, the girls have gone back-to-back as Provincial Champions. After lifting the indoor title, they doubled down by claiming the outdoor crown as well. This rare achievement cements their status as Alberta’s undisputed No. 1.
“This group is so special,” said Technical Director and Head Coach, Cat Fox. “They’ve shown consistency, competitiveness, and togetherness all season long. To win indoor and outdoor provincials is an incredible accomplishment and they’ve done it with style”
Congratulations to our Kings and Queens of Alberta for their unforgettable runs and for raising the bar for everyone who wears the New Frontier badge!
