APDL- HIGH PERFORMANCE
Where Alberta’s Top Player’s Compete and Grow
Welcome to Our High Performance Program
Welcome to the High Performance Program page of New Frontier Soccer Club! Our mission is to help players realize their full potential through advanced training and competition, preparing them for the next opportunity, whether it's college soccer or beyond.
National Youth Club License (NYCL)
As a NYCL holder, New Frontier is recognized as one of the top organizations in Canada for its exemplary governance, infrastructure and technical programming. This accreditation gives our players access to Canada Soccer’s Player Development Program (PDP), which includes participation in the highest level of youth league competition at both the provincial and national level.
Alberta Player Development (APDL) League
The APDL is the game component of the Alberta PDP and is governed and operated by the Alberta Soccer Association (ASA). The APDL serves as the premier youth soccer league in the province, bringing together top-tier players for best-on-best competition. The APDL Cup is the culmination of the APDL season, where teams compete for the championship title and a chance to advance to the national level.
Canada Soccer PDP Championship
Inaugurated in 2024, this national competition strengthens the connection between standards-based programs across Canada, showcasing the best youth soccer talent from across the country. The competition features the PDP U-15 Cup and PDP U-17 Cup for both boys and girls and includes clubs from the following programs:
Alberta Player Development League (APDL)
BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL
Ontario Player Development League (OPDL)
Première Ligue de Soccer Juvénile du Québec (PLSJQ).
2012 and 2013 Team Entry
This September, our club enters its second year in the APDL league.
Our 2012 boys and girls teams are currently competing in their first APDL season, gaining valuable experience and continuing their development. In December, both teams travelled to the Phoenix Desert Cup, where they tested themselves against top-level competition from across the United States. The 2012 Girls (Fox) team finished the tournament as Champions, competing in the highest bracket of play.
In April, both teams will travel to Surrey, Vancouver to participate in the Premier Spring Showcase, continuing their development against strong opposition.
We are excited to build on the foundation established in our inaugural APDL season and look forward to welcoming our 2013 teams into the APDL program.
